Previous Experience

I have been a clinical psychologist with the Correctional Service of Canada, C.E.T.A.S., C.E.R.U.M. and C.I.A.S.F. (community treatment programs in St-Jérôme, Montréal and Gatineau, Québec, for adolescent and adult sex offenders, children with sexual behaviour problems, their families, spouses, and victims of sexual abuse) and with the Solicitor General (Bluewater Youth Centre in Goderich, Ontario), a psychologist, clinical supervisor and researcher with the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group (Royal Ottawa Hospital, Brockville Psychiatric Hospital and the Secure Treatment Unit in Brockville), and psychologist at the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board.

I have also been a researcher and research coordinator at the Institute of Mental Health Research (IMHR), a part-time lecturer at the University of Montreal, University of Ottawa and invited lecturer at Université du Québec en Outaouais, Cité Collégiale and Algonquin College.

I have been in Private Practice since 1997 and have been an invited lecturer at national and international conferences.

Type of services provided

General clinical services: Assessment (psychological and psycho-educational), counseling, and therapy for children, adolescents, families and adults.

Forensic populations: Psychological assessments, risk assessments, treatment and expertise with regard to forensic populations (adult and juvenile). Specialization with juvenile and adult sex offenders and children with sexual behaviour problems.

Public education : presentations, seminars, workshops, keynote addresses.

Consultation and Training: Directed at parents, schools, teachers, organizations (governmental, private and not-for-profit), psychological service providers and other professionals. Services may include: clinical consultation; parenting skills and behaviour management; workshops; training and supervision; consultation regarding residential treatment (for delinquents and individuals who have offended sexually).

Fees

Fees are discussed during the first telephone contact. A portion of the fees are usually covered by most third party health insurance plans. Consultation fees are to be discussed individually.
Fees for presentations and workshops are available upon request.

Approximate waiting time

Waiting time will vary depending on the type of service requested and availabilities. Clients can expect to be seen within two to three weeks, but this may vary according to the services required. The completion of an assessment can take from one month to three months, depending on the type of assessment and scheduling.
