I provide individual and group psychotherapy, counselling and consultation to children, adolescents, adults, parents, and families. My services also include consultations to lawyers, health-care providers, and organizations. Finally, I am also available for forensic assessments, expertise, and consultation, and treatment of juvenile and adult sex offenders. I am currently providing telehealth services and accepting new clients.

Type and Cost of Services:
Psychotherapy, counselling and consultation services are provided in 50 minute sessions, in English or French. Forty-eight hours notice of cancellation is required or the usual fee is charged. Please see www.drmadrigrano.com for more information.

Methods of Payment:
Cash, e-transfer, Visa and MasterCard are accepted and payment is due when services are provided. Many extended health care plans include psychological services; check with your insurance provider to determine your coverage.

I have developed a special interest in anxiety disorders; relationship functioning; parenting practices at various developmental stages from pregnancy/birth to late adolescence (e.g. teaching discipline practices; coping with transitions and other difficult life circumstances; having a child with anxiety; conscious parenting skills); adjustment issues (e.g., family planning, infertility, divorce, separation, cancer diagnosis, childhood cancer, grief/bereavement, life transitions/stages, lifestyle/employment/relationship changes); stress management; personal growth & wellness; business coaching; mindfulness/meditation practices; and spirituality.
In addition to teaching adults and children meditation and mindfulness skills (one-on-one or group), I offer a Transformational Group for high functioning women with a focus on personal growth, self-care, stress management, relationships, mindset, happiness habits, mindfulness and meditation practices.

My approach to treatment is eclectic and adapted to the specific needs of each client. I provide a nurturing, accepting, client-centered atmosphere, helping clients to feel empowered and in control of their lives. My theoretical orientation integrates cognitive-behavioural (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), neurobiopsychosocial and positive psychology, emotion-focused, experiential and systems theory. I also incorporate findings from the areas of medicine, nutrition, alternative treatments, epigenetics, and neuroplasticity. At clients’ requests, I incorporate spiritual practices to my treatment modalities.
I am a clinical psychologist with training in health science and psychology. I have 21 years experience in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and adults. I have provided individual and couples counseling, as well as group treatment and staff training in organizations. I am also a forensic psychologist, specializing with sex offenders and violent offenders. I was determined to be an expert to testify at the provincial court level in Canada.
I have facilitated workshops to train professionals in schools, correctional institutions, organizations, and the general public. I have developed treatment programs in major institutions as well as in small community agencies. I have lectured at both, Montreal and Ottawa Universities, Algonquin College, and Université du Québec in Outaouais. Finally, I have presented research and offered workshops at conferences in North America and overseas. I have been a principal investigator and a co-applicant on successful grant applications, and main or co-author on over 30 publications, including book chapters. I was the recipient of grants with CIHR (Canadian Institute of Health Research) and UMRF (University Medical Research Fund).
